The Story
This sock has several hidden symbols that canĀ be used as tools for evangelization this EasterĀ season. Running throughout the patterningĀ of the sock is the word āAlleluia,ā a word that isĀ left unsaid during Lent to respect theĀ solemnity of the season. Easter Sunday is theĀ first time in 40 days that the glorious praise isĀ able to be sung. The colors and patterning inĀ the sock are bright and fun to represent theĀ joy of this occasion. The design also echoes anĀ Easter egg! A decorated egg historicallyĀ represents Jesus' Resurrection. The hard shellĀ represents the sealed tomb, and the crackingĀ of the egg represents Jesusā ResurrectionĀ from the dead.
